Purpose of meeting
The Australian Organic Industry Working Group was formed in December 2016 with a goal of working with the organic industry to form a peak representative body. With the assistance of Tony Webster and the Policy Partners Team, leaders of the organic industry undertook a process of consultation and held numerous workshops to set the path of the body.
Motion
To incorporate the Australian Industry Working Group by establishing a NSW incorporation to be named the Organic Industries Australia Incorporated. Ann Brownjohn to be appointed as the manager of this process.
Discussion
The Executive Committee of the Australian Organic Industry Working Group requested the Governance Committee review governance arrangements for the group. Following on from this review and discussions at today's meeting, the Executive Committee will establish a NSW Incorporated Association.
